Closet Storage: Custom Fit, Elevated Style

Completed in collaboration with Eagleview Construction and Buttercup Design Inc., this custom closet project was designed to transform an unusually shaped space into a highly functional and stylish storage solution. With an angled ceiling and varying height requirements, the goal was to build something that felt completely integrated and intentional, while supporting a range of wardrobe needs.

Project Scope & Objectives

This custom closet cabinetry was thoughtfully designed to accommodate unique ceiling angles and a variety of wardrobe needs, turning architectural constraints into an opportunity for tailored design. The layout responds to the uniquely shaped and angled ceiling by incorporating a range of cabinet heights suited for hanging rods, folded items, and open shelving. Careful attention was given to ensuring the cabinetry feels built-in, seamless, and visually balanced within the space. Finishes and hardware were selected to reflect a clean, elegant aesthetic, reinforcing both functionality and refined simplicity.

Challenges & Considerations

This space presented architectural challenges with its non-standard ceiling angles, requiring careful planning to ensure both structural fit and visual flow. The design also needed to deliver practical functionality — accommodating hanging garments, accessories, and folded items — all while keeping the space feeling open and orderly.

The final closet design demonstrates a careful response to both spatial limitations and storage goals:

  • Custom cabinetry was seamlessly built into the angles of the ceiling, creating a tailored, fitted look.
  • A range of cabinet heights was used to install hanging rods with shelves above, optimising vertical space for garments of all lengths.
  • The entire closet was painted white, keeping the overall look bright, clean, and timeless.
