This multi-use room features custom storage cabinetry and an integrated desk designed to balance functionality with visual cohesion. Floor-to-ceiling cabinetry maximizes vertical storage, making full use of the room’s height while maintaining a streamlined appearance. A custom makeup and task desk is seamlessly incorporated into the cabinetry wall, allowing the workspace to blend naturally into the overall design. The layout thoughtfully works around a window without disrupting symmetry or usability, and specialty accessories—such as laundry pullouts and tip-up storage—are included to enhance organization and everyday convenience.

Challenges & Considerations

With the window centrally located on the wall, traditional desk and cabinet placements were not possible. The design required creative integration of the window within the cabinetry layout, ensuring it didn’t feel like an obstacle. The desk also had to serve dual purposes — as a functional vanity and workspace — while preserving clean lines and ease of use.

This compact but layered space offers the best of both function and finish:

• Maple wood cabinetry provides a warm, natural backdrop and a timeless aesthetic.
• A custom desk area was positioned below the window, complete with an integrated light fixture for proper task lighting.
